Appearance
This product is a red crystal. Has deliquescence. Relative density 1.88, melting point 55-56 ℃, easily soluble in water, ethanol, acetone, and methyl acetate, slightly soluble in ammonia. Has strong oxidizing properties. Contact with flammable materials can cause fire or explosion. Toxic when inhaled, swallowed, or in contact with the skin.
Usage
It is a raw material for manufacturing cobalt salts, pigments, and inks, used for manufacturing desulfurization catalysts. Cobalt pigments, paint desiccants, additives for vitamin B12, hidden ink, cathode ray tube shells, and ceramic colorants.
