Application of Pyrazine CAS 290-37-9
Used as pharmaceutical intermediates, flavor and spice intermediates. The citrate salt of hexahydropyrazine (or piperazine) is a commonly used animal repellent and is particularly effective against roundworms. 2,5-Diketopiperazine is a reagent for preparing peptide compounds. Dibenzopyrazine is an important dye. In addition, pyrazine is often used as a neutral ligand of nitrogen-containing heterocycles to construct crystalline materials.
